Combining elements of experimental movement, video and installation, Marisa creates immersive environments with a strong experiential focus. Her work, which explores alternative ways of knowing and their expression in urban and natural landscapes, has appeared at events such as This Is Not Art Festival, Newcastle and BARI Festival, Brisbane. She has been presented and published by LEVEL ARI and Critical Animals Creative Research Symposium, and her writing has been featured in local and national publications including Artlink, Common Ground Journal, and Panoptic Press. She plays an active role in promoting and developing emerging arts in Brisbane, facilitating grassroots initiatives including Modifyre Festival, where she is in her third year as a creative director, and regularly performs with Kimera Visual Theatre at festivals and events around Brisbane.
